Organization

Organization is key to getting any work done for those of us with ADD. Putting together a list, prioritizing and having it pop up reminders and alerts to keep us focused.

There is one task organizer that I've liked for a while now called 'Task Coach'. The user interface, I think, is a little rough around the edges, but it's well put together, and solid. Even better, it runs on linux, windows, and other systems. Now that I use linux exclusively in my new job, I'm happy to say my saved task list loaded up just fine. And it plays well with gnome and probably kde as well.

If you're a developer like me, and enjoy python, this app is one of the most well designed application that I've seen to date. I've used some of it's general ideas in my own projects and plan to use many more in the future. Kudos to Frank Niessink and Jerome Laheurte for an excellent job.

Warhammer Online

Well, my latest obsession has been Warhammer Online. It's a pretty good game, however, it seems to lack something that I miss from World of Warcraft. It just seems like the graphics aren't as fluid and controlled like WoW. It could be my system, but I doubt it. I have an AMD64 dual 2.4GHz processor, with two 8600 GT's in SLI. With this horse power, i should be able to see amazing graphics, but I almost had to put it down to 1280 x 1024 just to get the frame rates bearable. Could be that running the game on a 64 bit machine isn't quite working, but everything else seems to work fine. If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know!
